Intentaré descriure amb paraules la bellesa que ahir vaig presenciar davant l'eclipsi solar total, des dels arrossars del Delta de l'Ebre, en concret des del mirador del Carreté. Vaig viure un dels espectacles visuals més bonics, impressionants i espectaculars que el cel ofereix: primer les ombres, de cop un anell de diamant i, de sobte, la gran corona solar va aparèixer. Tímidament, sortia una protuberància vermellosa i brillant pel costat esquerre. Només 95 segons de totalitat que em van passar rapidíssimament, aleshores va aparèixer el segon anell de diamant encara més brillant i maco que el primer.
Als meus 48 anys, ha estat una experiència nova i única, que mai oblidaré. A la meva memòria visual quedarà enclavat aquest eclipsi del 12 d'agost de 2026.

Intentaré describir con palabras la belleza que ayer presencié ante el eclipse solar total, desde los arrozales del Delta de l'Ebre, en concreto desde el mirador del Carreté. Viví uno de los espectáculos visuales más bonitos, impresionantes y espectaculares que ofrece el cielo: primero las sombras, de golpe un anillo de diamante y, de repente, apareció la gran corona solar. Tímidamente salía una protuberancia rojiza y brillante por el lado izquierdo. Solo 95 segundos de totalidad que me pasaron rapidísimos; entonces apareció el segundo anillo de diamante, aún más brillante y bonito que el primero.
A mis 48 años, ha sido una experiencia nueva y única que nunca olvidaré. En mi memoria visual quedará grabado este eclipse del 12 de agosto de 2026.

I will try to put into words the beauty I witnessed yesterday before the total solar eclipse, from the rice fields of the Delta de l'Ebre, at the Carreté viewpoint. It was one of the most beautiful, overwhelming and spectacular sights the sky can offer: first the shadows, then all at once a diamond ring and, suddenly, the great solar corona appeared. A reddish, brilliant prominence emerged shyly on the left-hand side. Only 95 seconds of totality, and they went by in a flash; then came the second diamond ring, brighter and more beautiful than the first.
At 48, it has been a new and unique experience that I will never forget. This eclipse of 12 August 2026 will stay fixed in my visual memory.

¡Ha sido muy emocionante! Ser partícipe de un acontecimiento histórico y acompañada de mi pareja e hijo.
Ha estat molt emocionant! Ser partícip d'un esdeveniment històric i acompanyada de la meva parella i el meu fill.
It was so moving! Being part of a historic event, and with my partner and my son beside me.
Estic regirat i hipnotitzat, tan que només em surten aquestes paraules per descriure'l:
- Vos creieu en Deu, però no l'heu vist mai, oi?
- Doncs jo no hi crec però l'he vist.
Continuo essent ateu, però el que he vist és massiu i poderós, és l'origen, la mare de tots nosaltres. En definitiva som àtoms de carboni forjats en el cor d'una estrella.
Estoy revuelto e hipnotizado, tanto que solo me salen estas palabras para describirlo:
- Vos creéis en Dios, pero no lo habéis visto nunca, ¿verdad?
- Pues yo no creo, pero lo he visto.
Sigo siendo ateo, pero lo que he visto es masivo y poderoso, es el origen, la madre de todos nosotros. En definitiva somos átomos de carbono forjados en el corazón de una estrella.
I am shaken and hypnotised, so much so that these are the only words I can find to describe it:
- Ye believe in God, yet ye have never seen Him, have ye?
- Well, I do not believe, and I have seen Him.
I am still an atheist, but what I saw is massive and powerful; it is the origin, the mother of us all. In the end we are carbon atoms forged in the heart of a star.
Cerveses, xerrera, carn arrebossada i una màrfega al pic més alt: el pla perfecte. Passa'm les ulleres. No hi miris sense. Sort que hem vingut d'hora, eh...? Amb 4x4 ha vingut aquesta gent, quina barra.
Les veus van afluixant, l'intercanvi d'ulleres es precipita, que no tothom n'ha aconseguit. I ja són aquí la llum taronja i l'ambient crepuscular, els volums definits i el silenci reverent.
Se senten aplaudiments tímids, ens mirem amb estranyesa i el moment passa. Recollim, no? Això ja estaria.
Cervezas, charla, carne rebozada y una colchoneta en el pico más alto: el plan perfecto. Pásame las gafas. No mires sin ellas. Menos mal que hemos venido pronto, ¿eh...? En 4x4 ha venido esta gente, qué morro.
Las voces van aflojando, el intercambio de gafas se precipita, que no todo el mundo ha conseguido. Y ya están aquí la luz naranja y el ambiente crepuscular, los volúmenes definidos y el silencio reverente.
Se oyen aplausos tímidos, nos miramos con extrañeza y el momento pasa. ¿Recogemos? Esto ya estaría.
Beers, chatter, battered meat and a camping mat on the highest peak: the perfect plan. Pass me the glasses. Don't look without them. Good thing we came early, eh...? That lot turned up in a 4x4, what a nerve.
The voices trail off, the swapping of glasses turns urgent — not everyone managed to get a pair. And here they are: the orange light and the twilight air, the volumes sharply defined and the reverent silence.
There is faint applause, we look at each other, puzzled, and the moment is gone. Shall we pack up? That would be that.
