On 12 August 2026, Catalonia will experience a total solar eclipse — a phenomenon that will not return here until the year 2180. The Eclipse Museum opens its call for artists from across Catalonia to exhibit work inspired by this historic event.
There are moments a territory lives only once in a generation. The total eclipse of 12 August 2026 is one of them: the Moon will completely cover the Sun over a band of Catalonia, and during those seconds of totality the sky will darken in broad daylight. It is an event that moves scientists, travellers and, of course, artists.
That is why we created the Eclipse Museum: an online space dedicated exclusively to art inspired by this phenomenon. And today we open the call for you to be part of it.
What the Eclipse Museum is
The Eclipse Museum is the digital gallery of eclipsi26.com, the reference media for the eclipse in Catalonia. It is the only online space dedicated entirely to the art this event has inspired: painting, photography, illustration and ceramics created around the eclipse of 12 August 2026.
It is not just another generic gallery. It is a showcase with context — your work will be exactly where cultural attention concentrates during the event of the year in Catalonia, seen by the audience arriving in search of this phenomenon.
Why exhibit here
Audience at a unique moment
eclipsi26.com receives the traffic of those looking for information about the eclipse. Your work is exhibited before an audience with genuine cultural interest, at the moment of peak media attention on the phenomenon.
No commission on sales
The full price of your work is yours. We only charge a small exhibition fee, from €50. The deal with the buyer is direct, with no intermediation from us in the transaction.
Your rights, intact
You retain 100% of the copyright and image rights to your work. Images are published at low resolution and with a watermark — enough to show the work but not to reproduce it.
Ready to exhibit your work?
Fill in the form and we will get in touch to confirm your spot in the Eclipse Museum.
APPLY FOR MY SPOT →Exhibition plans
Two simple options, depending on how many works you want to exhibit. The price is lower if you sign up before the eclipse:
€70 from 13 Aug
€110 from 13 Aug
Both plans include a full listing with description, technique, dimensions and price, a link to your website or Instagram, an artist video and buyer contact until 31 December 2026. Your work then remains permanently in the historical archive of the eclipse.
The artist video, included
You can accompany your work with a presentation video. If you film it on your phone and upload it to your own YouTube channel or Instagram, send us the link and we embed it alongside your listing — at no cost. If you don't have a channel, you can send it to us via WeTransfer and we upload it for a small €25 handling fee.
What work you can submit
- Painting — watercolour, acrylic, oil, gouache
- Photography — fine art, in numbered and signed editions
- Illustration — digital or traditional, on cotton paper
- Ceramics — small-format decorative artist piece
The work can be inspired by the anticipation of the eclipse or by the experience of having lived through it on 12 August. We accept both pre-eclipse and post-eclipse work. It must be original physical work or a numbered and signed edition — no digital reproductions.
The call is exclusively for artists based in Catalonia.
How to take part
The process is simple: fill in the application form indicating your discipline and how many works you want to exhibit. We will get in touch to confirm your spot and answer any questions before publishing your work in the Museum.
